A little about me
Hi, I'm Alexandra and I am soon to be completing my program in Kindergarten and Elementary Education at McGill University. I have a passion for working with children and have done so all of my life. I originally became interested in education after tutoring children at an inner city school and then again on a community service trip to Jamaica.
I have completed three out of my four stages so far and have had a wonderful experience. I have definitely learned a lot of things I can use in my future classroom. I also used my stages as a way to try new things, I have created all kinds of games for my students and found that this has been an effective tool for teaching specific content. My job at a summer camp has also reinforced my passion for education and has taught me techniques for dealing with all different types of personalities.
I love to travel and have many different interests, including music, dance and reading. After I complete my degree I am eager to start teaching in Ontario.
